about

Three dudes from the SF indie pop band Beulah had a little side project back in the day with a simple motto...more shows than practice. They weren’t famous, but their first show at the Elbo Room in SF got a BAM review that likened them to Neil Young circa Tonight’s the Night. That was perfect!...if a bit of an overstatement. No need to carry on. But they did....sorta. Two of those dudes dragged a few of those songs through a few decades and into the bake of Chico, California, where they convinced three other non famous people to join in the fun. They played some unexpectedly brilliant and unexpectedly sloppy shows before succumbing to inevitable entropy. Before the end, a record got started. Years later, a record was finished. And, now, years after that, the eponymous Those Old Tigers record is available to you. We hope you hum along.

Those Old Tigers Chico, California

Pat Noel grew up in the valley heat and wind of the San Joaquin Valley. His Beulah offshoot "The Airplanes" morphed into a newer project with Steve St.Cin and Chico friends to help craft the songs on this album.
